Gödöllő, 26th October 2024 – The historic icon of Hungary, the Royal Palace of Gödöllő, which is inextricably linked to Empress Elisabeth of Bavaria, known as Sisi, brings a new way to celebrate her unforgettable legacy this autumn and winter. A unique light park dedicated to Empress Sisi opens to the public on 25th October 2024, promising an experience that merges history, art, and modern technology.
The light park is divided into four main sections, guiding visitors through the story of the imperial court and the life of Sisi. These sections include:
The highlight of the exhibition is a 5-meter-tall light sculpture of Empress Sisi herself, adorned with 3,500 LED lights. In total, 250,000 lights are installed throughout the exhibition, making it an extraordinary experience for both children and adults alike. Visitors will also be captivated by a 6-meter-tall lighted stag, symbolizing royal hunts, and a steam locomotive celebrating the dawn of the steam age, illuminated by 7,000 LED lights. The park also features a majestic 3.5-meter-tall owl, a symbol of wisdom.
